🌟 NAM TU LIEM SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS WIN NATIONAL AWARD AT SAMSUNG SOLVE FOR TOMORROW 2026!
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is an annual competition organized by Samsung to encourage students to apply STEM knowledge in researching and developing innovative technological solutions to real-life social challenges.
At the 2026 competition, Nam Tu Liem Secondary School was honored to be one of 20 schools nationwide to receive the Movement Award, presented to institutions with the highest number of students completing the online training course across the country.
In particular, the project developed by Nguyen Quang Minh and Tran Nguyen Tung, students of Class 8A4, under the dedicated guidance and support of their teacher, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong, was selected among the Top 8 lower secondary school projects to advance to the National Final Round and successfully won the Promising Project Award.
🚴 NTL BIKEGUARD – TURNING EVERY BICYCLE INTO A SMART MOBILE SENSOR STATION
Inspired by the real-life risks that students and local residents frequently face on the roads, such as potholes, road subsidence, flooding, damaged manhole covers, and other hazards, the two students developed “NTL BikeGuard – An AI-Based System for Detecting and Mapping Dangerous Road Sections for Cyclists.”
The innovative feature of the project lies in the idea of transforming each bicycle into a “Smart Mobile Sensor Station.” The system helps collect road condition data, applies artificial intelligence to detect abnormalities on road surfaces, and builds maps of potentially hazardous areas. Through this approach, the project aims to support cyclists in identifying risks in advance and choosing safer routes.
The achievement of Quang Minh and Nguyen Tung, together with the dedicated guidance of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong, is not only a source of joy and pride for the students, their families, and teachers, but also clear evidence of the effectiveness of scientific research and innovation activities at Nam Tu Liem Secondary School.
Congratulations to the two students and their supervising teacher! We wish them continued passion, confidence in exploring new knowledge, mastery of technology, and even greater success in turning creative ideas into practical values for the community.
